After what has been a very unusual and difficult time, it was fantastic to welcome all our pupils back to school on Monday morning last. I would like to thank everyone in the school community for their efforts to make sure that we could reopen the school safely.

Read NewsletterDetails of our 'Drop and Go' system are now available. Please take the time to read it carefully. This system will rely on the patience and goodwill of all parents who use the car park. While there will be some delays, we hope that this system means that your children can enter the school safely and quickly in the morning. There will be a member of staff in the car park during the first week to help with the new system. Members of staff will also be on the yard to guide children to their correct entry points once they enter the school grounds.
Read NewsletterWe hope that you are keeping well. This is a follow-up from last week’s newsletter regarding our reopening plans. It provides more detail for parents as we prepare to return to school. We are continuing to work hard to prepare for our reopening on the 31/08/2020. We will be installing new sinks and cabinets in our main toilets this week. Warm water will be available at all handwashing facilities so that pupils and staff can wash their hands properly.

The purpose of this newsletter is to inform you of some of the measures and procedures that the school will have in place prior to reopening so that everyone in our school community can return in the safest way possible. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have had to make a number of changes to the normal school routines in order to follow guidelines that have been issued by the Department of Education.

Who would have thought as we returned in September 2019 that our school would have closed its doors on March 12th for the rest of the school year. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic certainly brought huge challenges for everyone.
