eTwinning School Award

09 October 2020 | eTwinning

eTwinning Award arrived at St. Patrick's N.S. today.

Everyone in our school community was delighted to receive our eTwinning School 2020/2021 award in the post today. The school has taken part in this initiative for the last number of years.  eTwinning is an online platform for schools in Europe and beyond where schools can communicate and collaborate on projects in a secure network.

Teachers in 3rd-6th class worked on a collaborative project with a school in Spain beginning in September 2019. This has involved the pupils creating PowerPoint presentations, creating a digital book, making video explanations, making cards and writing letters to their eTwinning partners. These projects provide an audience for pupils’ work and it also gives the opportunity to learn about other cultures as seen through the eyes of children their own age.

We would like to thank Mrs. Murnane for spearheading the initiative and all our teachers and pupils who took part. We would also like to thank our partner schools in Spain for collaborating with us during the initiative.
