Light - Opaque and Transparent

Pupils in first and second class explored how materials can be transparent or opaque.

Pupils in first and second class explored how some materials such as glass can let in light and other materials do not let light pass through them. We created these wonderful hearts and shamrocks using cellophane to show the transparent element and then used small amounts of coloured tissue paper to see how the opaque material did not let light pass through it.
