Science Week 2020

15 November 2020 | Discover Primary Science, Science

All pupils throughout the school were extremely busy and had great fun throughout Science Week.

There were a wealth of activities done throughout the school for Science Week 2020. Junior infants looked at ice patterns in frozen water and looked at the effects of salt on ice; Senior infants learned how to take their heart rate and saw the effect of exercise on it; first class activities included blowing the tin-whistle with a balloon and making a fizz inflator; 3rd class were very lucky to participate in a Bubbles Workshop online with Scientific Sue and also completed a STEAM trail around the school grounds; 5th & 6th did the egg-drop challenge and 6th also observed capilliary action. This is just a synopsis of the work and doesn't include all activities!
