World Book Day events 2024
Although the school was closed on March 7th, everyone still celebrated World Book Day 2024 in St. Patrick's N.S. Each member of staff submitted a photo of themselves with one of their favourite books covering his/her face. These photos were then used to creat a fun quiz that was completed in all the classrooms where children had to use their powers of observation to correctly identify the person.
Each class also chose their favourite story/book which they then presented at the school assembly on March 22nd. There was also a design a bookmark competition throughout the school with a winner chosen from each classroom. Each winner received a €10 Book Token to spend on a book of their choice.
It was a great celebration of book and reading...well done to everyone!
