Active Schools Week 2022 took place from June 6th to 10th
Active School’s Week 2022 took place from June 6th - 10th in the school. There was a huge variety of activities for all children in all classes throughout the week. Infants & First Class had a disco on Tuesday. On Wednesday there was a whole-school sports day in the adjoining field. This was organised by the pupils of 6th class. All pupils had a super time going from station to station to complete a variety of fun-filled activities. These varied from dizzy penalties to tug-o’-war to dodgeball, kick rounders, crossbar challenge and more. We were blessed with dry weather so the pupils were able to enjoy many activities. On Thursday, sixth class pupils organised orienteering activities around the school yard for younger classes. This was thoroughly enjoyable. In the afternoon, pupils from 4th - 6th had a soccer tournament in the field which will conclude next week. First & Second class had a football blitz on Friday morning. 3rd class had an indoor “Go Noodle” dance time. Our coach Shane took groups for football in between the rain-showers! It was a great week and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
