Engineering Rockets in 2nd & 3rd class

2nd & 3rd class had great fun planning, building and analysing their rockets recently!
2nd & 3rd class were inspired by the story "Rosie Revere, Engineer" to design and make a rocket. While working on the theme of the Solar System, they listened to the story and learned about the process of engineering. They then created their own designs for the rockets, collected the materials they needed and built their rockets over two or three lessons in the classroom. All pupils thoroughly enjoyed this, especially the building part! Once the rockets were built, they compared their design to the finished product and identified some changes that they might make if they were to build again...true engineers!
