2nd class tested materials for absorbency

2nd class were learning about materials being waterproof or absorbent and carried out an investigation into which material was the most absorbent. To keep the test fair, they used the same size for each material being tested. Each material was tested using 100ml of water. Before testing, pupils predicted which material they thought would be the most and least absorbent. The materials tested were tissue, baking paper, a kitchen cloth, tin foil and a thick, dusting cloth. As they predicted, the most absorbent was the thick cloth, abosrbing 70ml of water in 1 minute!
