3rd class learned about the attraction and repulsion of magnets and then used this learning to make an egg transporter!
3rd class learned about the attraction of magnets and watched their teacher demonstrating this using a variety of magnets. They were then asked to design and make a car from lego, that would transport a plastic Easter egg. They were also give two or three magnets and had to get the car to move using the magnets. The showed great co-operation, determination and problem-solving skills. The STEM process was very evident when first or even subsequent designs didn't work and things had to be tweaked and tried again over and over until they got a moving car.
