Environmental Awareness & Care: The Water Cycle

19 April 2021 | Science

Third Class have been learning about the Water Cycle

Third class watched a video about the Water Cycle on YouTube and then recorded their learning in their SESE journals and also using Seesaw. They learned about evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection and what each of these means.

Here are two explanations recorded by Melissa & Suzanne using Seesaw

They also carried out a water cycle experiment to see it in action using a plastic bag and water with food colouring. Firstly they drew a diagram of the sun & cloud(s) in the sky and water at the bottom. Then they put water into the bag that had a small amount of food colouring in it. Next they sealed the bag and placed it inside a window using masking tape to keep it in place. They then observed the water cycle inside the bag.
