07 June 2023

Gold award for our school!

All pupils in all classes have worked very hard throughout the year. Our school was recently awarded a Gold Award for the super work throughout the year in STEM(Science, Technology Engineering & Maths. This award was granted by the Science Foundation of Ireland in recognition of the work covering all aspects of STEM and all strands of the Science Curriculum. The judges were particularly impressed with the STEM approach used by pupils in 2nd and 3rd class to build bridges and also by the showcase days held in 6th class and 2nd & 3rd classes. They were also very impressed by the fact that all children throughout the school are participating so well in their STEM activities. You can visit the Curious Minds section of the website here to see some of the great work done throughout the year. Well done to all the pupils and their teachers!
