ACTIVE SCHOOL FLAG

The Active School Flag (ASF) initiative is a Department of Education and Skills initiative (DES) which aims to get more schools, more active, more often.

The Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme (DPSM) aims to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

E-TWINNING

eTwinning offers a platform to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share and be a part of a learning community in Europe.

GAA 5 STAR CENTRE

The school has been selected to participate in the GAA 5 Star Centre initiative to encourage children to become more active in their daily lives.

I.T.

We are well served at present with 18 IPads and 10 laptops available to use in our classrooms. Pupils focus on creating their own digital content.

LITERACY

Children read books at their own level of competency and gradually raises the complexity of what they can do in both reading and writing.
